When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sweetwater is one of the many members of a group of dragons who play the "cuff" game. It's not really all that complicated, it just means that whenever he encounters another dragon playing that game and that dragon shouts "top page", he jumps him or her hugging the other player for a quick moment shouting "cuffed" in return. It's a silly little pastime but it's a very enjoyable, social activity and brings dragons closer together.

Sweetwater just wishes he would encounter other playing Water dragons more often because jumping out of the water to hug a land dwelling dragon gets quite exhausting over time. It's a good thing all the players are so sociable and gladly help him back into his lake after the hugging has commenced.
