Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.
Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
User Description
Rising Sunny Day is a very cheerful dragon who loves to play in the sun. Though she is matured, she acts like a child would and chases the hatchlings around with joy. Once evening sets in, she'll lumber back to her cave tiredly, resting until sun rise.
She is cave mates with Starry Night Evans and wants to be his mate, but knows that his nocturnal activities and how she prefers to rise and set with the sun would strain the relationship.
