Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

FlashyDayGlory is a pretty typical Day Glory Drake. She loves cherries and humans, and is always willing to eat from a person's hand. She is a great flier and likes to do little tricks in the air to amuse herself. FlashyDayGlory likes to show off, especially when human children are around, she loves the gasps they make as she flies loop-de-loops and barrel rolls.
