Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

For all dragons of the Clan, Haggerty is a sign of trouble. This obnoxious, loud and cruel pyromaniac believes that everything must rotate around him—and out comes the fire should others disagree. Haggerty loves practical jokes, though most of them are in bad taste. He is solely responsible for keeping the Clan's chickens and mints in a state of panic, attempting to vaporize the lake where the Clan's water dragons live, and overall keeping the healers occupied with a huge number of bites and burns. Whenever there are dead eggs in the nursery, mothers speculate that it was Haggerty who chomped them while nobody was looking, but there was never any direct proof. His one weakness is his love for the Clan leader, Reali Ty, for whose attention he claims to have done all those horrible things in the first place, and who has rejected him countless times in the past. Haggerty can also be seen running with his tail between his legs whenever the healer leader, Celesten, looks his way.
