Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys swimming in a nearby pond.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

She was close to death. With less than an hour left to live, she was very weak, too. Scared, she called out to Esprit des Cieux, whom she had learned to trust. Esprit soared through the skies, following her cry. At last he reached her. Landing on a rock in her waterbed, he gave her a decision. It was to let her die, possibly giving her another chance at life with the wonderful possibility of becoming a full-grown dragon, or eternal youth. After much debating, she chose to stay a tiny water serpent her entire life. From then on she was known as Water Pixie.
