Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Garett the Faster is a loud obnoxious dragon who constantly fights and races with Janet the Fast. Janet is his rival and arch nemesis. He usually wins when racing against her and will pester her about it and mention it often. Janet sometimes says that he has an unfair advantage because he has wings. Some say that he has feelings for her, but he would never let his guard down against her and admit that.

  He has a rather feminine build for a male Terrae dragon, and Janet will never let him live that down. Also, his horns are smaller than most horns of his kind.

  One of Garett's hobbies other than racing is ice skating. When winter comes, he attaches sharpened branches to the bottom of his clawed feet and he will slide along the ice.

  Garret lives in a tightly knit dragon community that lives near the coast. One of his neighbors is The Seagull, who he sometimes finds rummaging through his trash.
