Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
This red dragon looms over many dragons of the Dusk Divide Dragon Keep. When seen with the many hatchlings of the Keep scattered at her feet, one might be inclined to believe that they are under threat. But nothing could be less true of Kharvari, one of the Keep's most trustworthy caretakers of the young.
With remarkable control over her equally remarkable strength, Kharvari is nevertheless crippled. Unable to think beyond the mental capacity of a six-year-old human child, the red dragon could not hunt or function normally along other dragonkind. However, she had a strange fondness for caring for hatchlings, even as her species was fond of warming eggs. Most hatchlings see her as just a larger playmate, and she is extra careful of her strength around them. Though gullible and oftentimes obtuse, she is well-meaning and quite mild. In this she is the opposite of fellow caretaker Magistrette, who is smart but frail, and quite hot-tempered.
