Speckle-Throated Dragons are an active, playful breed. They are easily excited and rarely remain still, spending much of their time in the air. Living in groups of up to sixty dragons, they nest in open plains and at the bases of mountains. Their speckled throats are their most distinctive feature, as well as the loud, echoing call they produce to communicate with one another. Male Speckle-Throats have a small crest on top of their heads, which they can flush with blood to intimidate enemies and attract mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The most feminine of the Stonefeather siblings, which is a bit ironic considering he's one of the few brothers. Opera acts way more like a female Speckle-Throated Dragon than a male, to the point where it becomes confusing. Others of his breed not properly introduced puzzle at him, though he does tolerate it well. He is a very friendly and open dragon, loving company and attention from all sorts of dragons, though he's partial to that of his many siblings. He isn't competitive like other male Speckle-Throated Dragons, actually preferring to hunt with his sister, Wendy, and sometimes mother, Night. He even takes on a more feminine fighting style for his breed, though his lack of innate agility makes it less effective. Despite his more glittery personality, Opera is no pushover. When push comes to shove, he can defend himself and his family from danger, having a great knack for working off others in battle and supporting the team. He's what keeps the siblings functioning as a unit.
