Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

For a very long time, Pumpkinvines was a lonely, solitary dragon, named for the pumpkin patch in the Breedery Gardens where she most liked to spend her time. Her egg was taken when Frilled Dragon eggs were common, but by the time Lurhstaap went to get more, the species had seemingly gone extinct—no eggs or hatchlings could be found. And though poor Pumpkinvines got plenty of male attention, her own eggs always seemed to turn out the breed of her mate. She could have run away to the wild, but didn't feel she had the skill to survive out there. So Pumpkinvines longed for the society of her own species in vain for many years. But now, finally, her grief is at an end! Frilled Dragons have returned to Valkemare and their eggs can be found once more. Now she is no longer the sole Frill at the Breedery, and she delights in the company of the young newcomers despite the vast difference in age. Pumpkinvines now spends her time helping to raise new Frill eggs and hatchlings.
