Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.
Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
User Description
MightyDayGlory is big for a Day Glory Drake, almost twice the size of her tiny brethren in the group. She is still very small compared to true dragons, but she certainly stands out in a crowd of Day Glories. She is also stronger than other Glory Drakes, able to carry off far more cherries than other Day Glories in her group. MightyDayGlory does need to eat a lot more to keep her larger body flying.
