Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ikotsuni can be more cold-hearted than Ikotsu Yakedo.  It probably wouldn't have mattered because Ikotsuni is dead, so no heart would be there to beat love and warmth. Ikotsuni walks by Xuxa's cave on the first of October every night with his mistress Kyuu Ketsueki and his daughter Chishiou until Halloween passes.  They try to find dragon eggs, scaring away mothers, killing them if they refuse to run away by injecting them with poison.  Then they turn the eggs into more Vampire dragons like themselves.  Ikotsuni has a special ability to bite and turn his victims to ashes.  Xuxa has her strongest dragons stay at the entrance of the cave ready to use their power to keep them away from harming one of them when October comes.  Xuxa hopes one day, someone takes Ikotsuni's dead life.
