Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Lethfeathers have always been a bit of a strange family. With both parents being banished from their own proud lineages, and that information never really bothering their other children, it's interesting to note that it does bother Faith. It bothers her a lot. Faith is a generally quiet, reserved dragon. She doesn't completely match the angelic, all-encompassing symbol of good will her breed is characterized as, but she is far from being a bad dragon. She does what she can to help others, often practicing her specialized magic in seclusion. Because of her family history, she feels lesser than others of her breed, even unworthy of her own feathers, which sends her thoughts down some dark paths. She tries to stay positive, after all that's exactly what she's supposed to do. But she can't help feeling ashamed of herself and her family, which is made all the worse by how they seem to ignore and cover up their history. She usually hides her anger at this, but it sometimes slips through.
