Blacktip Dragons are a small, shore-dwelling breed that tend to nest on sheer ocean side cliffs. They live in groups under a dominant female, who prevents her subordinates from breeding. During the mating season, a group of Blacktips can be very noisy and smelly indeed; males produce a distinctive musky odor and loud, low-pitched honking noises in an attempt to woo the alpha female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Salter Nuria was a very lonely dragon, as his kin lived in large groups, and he had never even met a dragon of his own breed. He flew often to the beach where he was found by Ember the human, but he always returned empty-pawed. One day, Salter decided that this would be his last trip to the Salt tides as it was becoming too painful for him. So he arrived and searched for several days, but in vain. Salter was about to give up when a bellowing sound echoed through the cliffs above them. A small white creature appeared in the sky, and then from every cave and crag in the cliffs came more and more dragons. Salter was overjoyed, and went to greet them. He found his father, and they spent many happy hours together. After their long visit, a young female dragon offered him her only egg as a gift. Salter was honored, and raised the egg with Ember on her mountain. He loved little Salacia, and she grew to a sweet and loyal dragon who loved her "daddy". They often fly together to visit the tides.
