Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Diabolos is a lonely vampire dragon. He lives in a cave away from his owner's other dragons and hardly ever visits the other dragons, for he fears that his hunger will take over and he'll accidentally kill one of the eggs his owner brings home. The only few times he goes to where the other dragons live is to visit his one true love- Into The Night With You. Into The Night With You merely despises Diabolos, only thinking of him as a cold-hearted, vicious monster. Diabolos brings her roses and many treasures, just so she'll like him. It always fails, but he keeps trying.

Diabolos is almost the typical vampire. He sleeps during the day, drinks blood, etc. But he's not as cruel as most vampires-he's very cautious about what dragon egg he picks for his meal, and he's very sweet. Guess that's why his owner loves him much more than the rest of her dragons!
