It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Shinining One is a motherly type of Dragon.  As Winged-One's first Dragon, she often thinks of herself as the mother of the band.  She has helped raise the eggs, except those that are raised by the Vampire Dragons.  She always feel some grief when Winged-One decides that there are too many eggs and or hatchlings and she has to take some back to the cave where it is rumored that she herself was picked up by her beloved human.  Shinining One still fells a twinge of sadness whenever an egg is taken away from her and its parents.  Some may say that this feeling is overstepping her boundaries, but one has to consider the fact that the parents of the egg(s) or hatchling(s) think of her as a grandmother or an aunt.  Thus she is trusted with the family bonds of the herd of Dragons.  She considers the Vampires apart of this herd, but their thievery  to continue their race by biting eggs then raising the undead hatchlings as their own has made them the lowest of the low in her mind.
