Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very curious and fond of sweets.

And look! It has grown feathers! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Gum-Drops is one of the most playful dragons in his cave- cheerful, too. So cheerful that he often annoys the other dragons to no end. He's often heard singing a cheerful tune, and hopping happily along the uppermost branches of the trees. He's adventurous, almost to the point of foolishness, and is often leading the other hatchlings into dangerous situations.  The adults often berate him for this, but Gum-Drops just shrugs it off with a flick of his tail, and goes off to find some berries.
