Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Very competitive, Laodamia feels that she always has to be the best at everything. The fastest flier, hold the record for longest fire breath, best at the few games the Flight plays; everything. She's always pushing her limits, and is almost constantly being treated by Thamyris for her injuries. The rest of the Spartan Flight, which lives in an ocean-facing cave in the territory of the city-state, tend to get rather exasperated by her, and she and Oreads are constantly being compared to see who is more annoying. Of course, all of competing is just a show because of her lack of self-esteem, but no one really mentions it, for fear of getting incinerated, literally. However, she is an ardent supporter of the Flight, a loyal companion, and has a scathing wit to rival Philoctetes'. Her mate is Protesilaus.
