Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vesper is Wyrdfell's closest friend and, though she is not of the council, her secret advisor. Vesper is a steadfast friend and reliable, however she is not unaware of her looks which makes her tiresome sometimes. She must always look her best.

She has mated a few times and only twice produced any eggs, these with Adurna Edoc'sil. She has two sons, a Sunrise dragon to her great dismay, who shows signs of being a great thinker and a younger Sunset who is a joker and great friend of Adurna Manin abr Folkvir. The young dragons were cared for by the other females and occasionally their father, who was delighted to have a son, Sunrise or no when they were hatchlings. As for her position in the group, she is the flirtatious stunner, never too serious in public with a steady heart, a steadfast anchor. She often supports Wyrdfell after one of her many raging outbursts.
