Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Calm, peaceful, and sleepy, Mosspatch prefers to keep to himself, enjoying the silent solitude of his cave. In the damp, dark recesses of his home, many species of lichen and fungi flourish. He enjoys studying these marvelous organisms, and often moves those specimens that glow around, helping them take root on whatever part of his home he wants lighted. However, despite his love of his quiet hermit lifestyle, he is by no means hostile, and will resignedly tolerate any nosy scholar that pops into his cave and chatters eagerly to him about his collection. But once interrupted, he often seeks a new place to dwell, and will take his specimens with him by planting them in soil he carefully places on his back, where they can survive until they have a new cave to inhabit. This odd moving habit of his earned him his name.
