Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to spend an awful lot of time grooming itself.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This dragon's beginnings were anything but sweet and calm; whether it was because of never meeting their parents and so having to be alert all the time, being abandoned by previous owners or moving home because of natural changes. One day they prayed in despair and exasperation, asking for a possibility to taste youth at least once. Their wish was granted, suspending them in time for all eternity. Whether it's the greatest gift or worst curse, they've yet to decide.
