Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Ever since Kanraku hatched, there were dragons wanting to eat her. Or "just taste" her. Or "just find out whether she is edible". She, because Kanraku, despite having no real gender, likes to think of herself as a girl, a damsel in distress. She feels just as alive as any other dragon and tries her best to prove this to others. She has even adopted the epithet "Not Edible", as this is what she always claims to be. She spends most of her time with Sigurd and Shamira, with whom she feels safe.
