Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Stunted in growth by an unknown disease, Tachile often resented the others for their ability to fly and collect the larger boulders to impress the ladies. When he was long past the time to be left by his mother, he was still clinging to her back, the mother herself unsure of what to do with him. Eventually, he was left alone.<br/>He didn't die, however. His structure is small for his age and has much of the muscle that a normal hatchling-like body shouldn't have. Either way, he's survived, but will forever be unable to breed.
