Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This female has spent much of her life deep within the trenches of the ocean, spending her days cheerfully feasting on whatever swam past and communicating with others of her kind through long-distance calling. But in time, things began to change; food became scarcer and scarcer in that corner of the ocean, until finally in desperation Corco reared her head above the surface, hoping to find more abundant prey in the shallower waters.

She found them, but she also found something considerably more interesting along the way. One day, while traversing a coastline, she caught sight of another of her breed--floundering, wailing for help, and generally looking incompetent. Uncertain of what was happening, but determined to help, Corco swam over and used brute force to free him from the cage that held him, and saving him from a life of undeath in the process. Intrigued by the clumsy male, she allowed him to follow her around... and, in time, the two became close friends (and more) indeed.
