Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Blauochre was brought into the cave by Meineochre and Rotochre, both recognizing another Ochredrake egg when they saw one. Blauochre, as his name states, is infatuated by the color blue. Everything blue, large or small, breathing or inanimate, becomes his center of obsession. Just recently, Harabusu had to deal with the Ochre gawking at his luminescent spots which are, coincidentally, blue.

Other then his obsession for that color, Blauochre is easily depressed and sympathetic with most everyone. If some other drake or person is upset and in tears, he will cry with them, even if he has no clue why they're crying. Also, speaking of upsetting things such as eggicide and practices related to dragon homicide is enough to make him run away from daylight for weeks.
