Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon loves scenic vistas, especially viewed from great heights. He keeps the several high mountaintops where he lives and hunts white with snow year round.

He has a liking for visitors; though he does not show himself to them, he speaks to them from his cave mouth and answers any questions they pose. For this reason, he is revered as a wise old hermit.

Visitors who dare enter his cave to see him do not live long. He swears them to secrecy, lets them get part way down the mountain, then sneaks down behind them to touch them when other members of their party cannot see him. His chill touch leaves them frozen dead in surprise, and his large footprints in the snow around the scene have sparked rumors of an abominable snow creature.
