Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Liberty was named after one of his parents, who don't live with the ARBL. However, the poor dragon dislikes the name for some reason, and is constantly trying out new nicknames. For some reason, none of the ones he suggests ever stick. He thinks they're cool, but has often met failure in the form of barely-contained laughter. Night's Fury, who loves coming up with nicknames almost as much as she does stumping people with riddles, has made up several of her own. Many of these come from foreign languages, like Jiyu or Freiheit. In fact, one of the foreign ones was tried out for Dragon With No Name (but got rejected)- Namae No Nai Ryu. This one fell from use almost instantly, for obvious reasons. Now, poor Liberty is stuck with a name that he came up with as a joke from pure frustration- Communism.
