Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fyrefall was abducted from her volcano by a wizard who wanted a draconic bodyguard. The wizard had just enough sense to cast spells to prevent her magma from burning her immediate surroundings, but Fyrefall had the patience to wait for the inevitable mistake or loophole that would set her free. Rescue finally came in the form of a mageia xenowyrm, because the wizard had clearly learned nothing from capturing her. Fyrefall took great pleasure in methodically destroying the tower and her enclosure before she escaped.
