Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Another of the Darkness Tribe's members, Night Treasure is firmly loyal to Shadowy Nebula but also refuses to believe the stories about Shadow Biter. As a warrior, she had protected Shadow Biter from her enraged mother, who, finding her daughter being a Vampire, had tried to murder the hatchling, but Night Treasure had fought her off. Indeed, she refuses to believe any of her tribemates are evil but loathes the other tribes, even the Draegon Palace.

In fact, Night Treasure is really the most trustworthy of all the Darkness tribe, although the males of the other tribes prefer Shadowy Nebula to her and her bland coloring. She doesn't mind this, however, as they pay so little attention to her that when, on her leader's orders, she goes to collect information, they never notice her watching...and listening.
