Falconiform Wyverns are normally shy creatures. However, when approached, they often feel threatened, and the flames along their bodies leap higher. Females tend to be smaller than males, though Falconiform Wyverns are typically rather large overall. They use their size to their advantage by hunting smaller dragons. The Falconiform’s graceful, swooping dives are said to resemble birds of prey. Falconiforms are largely solitary dragons that only meet in order to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Eowis is a bit of a bumbling wyvern. When he is startled, his flames tend to flare up in a way that makes the area more hazardous for him and whomever he is with moreso than it frightens away others. He has flamed up enough to burn a tree limb into falling atop of him; to set off a pocket of gas within the cave where he tried to hide; and to burn down a barn from which he was trying to catch small livestock, such that the village roused with pitchforks to come after the 'dragon' terrorizing them.

Eowis now lives among rocks nestled in a bubbling cauldera, where nothing is likely to hurt him by burning when he flares up.
