Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Heregris II is a stone dragon. Being largely immobile and unable to fly or travel, he is pretty much rooted to one spot: at the back of a strange but beautiful and peaceful cave in the lower part of the mountain, where the trees cast shady patterns on the forest floor. Many hatchlings and dragons come to see him for his excellent company: he tells funny jokes, witticisms, and anecdotes, along with a large amount of rich folklore and mythological tales. Nobody knows where he gets these stories, since he usually sits in the back of his cave, pondering questions unknown. Some say the cavern whispers to him, that he can understand the gentle, dripping language of the trickling water, and that he knows of the mysterious carvings etched onto the rocks. But no matter how he received those tales, he will always be revered and remembered as the dragon that never ran out of ancient stories to tell the awestruck hatchlings.
