Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Stolen as an egg in a cavern, the egg thief sold the shiny egg to a blacksmith. The blacksmith's name was Robert, and he took care of the egg until it hatched into this dragon. He named it Sunpelt because its skin would glow golden, the color of the sun, when placed in the sun. As the dragon grew older, he soon found out it was an amphiptere. Later in Sunpelt's yearling stage, Robert found out its breed name was a Sunsong. After discovering the breeds' behaviors, he abandoned Sunpelt because he wanted a dragon that would fight. Not knowing how to survive in a gruesome world, Sunpelt tried to eat all he knew, but it was no use. As his life slowly faded away, a beautiful White Dragon came to his rescue. She tapped her stick on him and he healed. She introduced herself as Zharion, a healing Omea of the Uncita clan. She allowed him into the clan. It was a long history, but Sunpelt's intelligence and great memory helped him remember it.
