Shadow Walkers are a strange breed that possess the ability to slip between the planes of reality, becoming immaterial. This allows them to hide in the shadows, either hunting from the concealment of near invisibility or evading enemies. Though they become corporeal to mate or to eat, they spend most of the rest of their lives walking in the shadows. Shadow Walkers are wary creatures, though on dark autumn evenings when the leaves fall to swirl in the chill, rain damp air, they may be seen drifting out from the shadows.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Within the confines of the Northern Territories, there exists a small glade near Scrupulositas Labyrinth. This is the resting place of souls: Sussurro Rada Cemetery. It was specifically created to cater to veterans of the Creorluna war; it's also one of the most sacred, hallowed lands for miles.

Vistors exploring the area often see shimmers slightly and freeze, rooted in place as fear grips them. After all, there's plenty of stories of the graveyard being haunted. They never buy them till they see the vague silhouette of a dragon watching them from the shadows.

But don't be alarmed. The graveyard may well be haunted, but this is no ghost watching you. It's Pelseo, one of the two caretakers of the cemetery. Pelseo's job is to protect the dead. He's to ensure no evil forces disturb those buried here. That's his official job anyway. Unofficially, Pelseo's blessed with a tinge of psychic power. Occasionally he can see and speak with the dead occupying the yard and help them find peace.
