Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Rosetta is a Valentine Dragon. She has taken the Heatseeker dragon, Ivan, as her mate. Ivan has always been her admired, ever since they hatched. It has been hard for Rosetta to cope with Ivan's consistent match-making and the fact that all the un-mated females in the clan are vying for his attentions. Rosetta remains loyal and tolerates it all, though she can get possessive. On some occasions she has been known to take aggressive stances when females approach Ivan when she is alone with him. When not with Ivan, Rosetta enjoys spending time with other dragons in the clan, and always has interesting stories to share. Rosetta is popular and approachable, unlike Katrina who is admired and distant. All dragons, except for females attempting to court Ivan, can find a friend in Rosetta.
