Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Named partially after both her father and mother, she is one of the only dragons in Kaoru's Cave to have been given a nick-name completely different from her own name: 'Jeula'. She won't even tell her owner why she prefers this name, but it's what all her allies call her. Jeula is, according to the other dragons, destined to hopefully be the mother of the first Two-Finned Bluna the cave will see. She is the only female Skywing present, and there are no Water Dragons or female Deep Sea Dragons. Jeula sometimes has trouble not letting all the pressure on her get to her head. Because everyone thinks she should choose a Deep Sea as her mate, she has been reluctant to as of yet.
