Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ribbon Flowers is able to read, and has collected a massive hoard of books over the years. She has an amazing memory, and only needs to read a book once to completely memorize its contents. Because she has no need to keep books around after she is done reading them, she instead carefully rips the pages out of them and folds them into different shapes. Come winter, she leaves these tiny crafts outside of caves or houses as gifts for the residents.

She is exclusively attracted to her own breed and is the mate of Red Magic Lily, a Ribbon Dancer who specializes in tying knots. Flower received one of Lily's ribbons as a gift one year, and it has been tied delicately around one of her horns ever since.
