Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Cavern, so named for his capture in the original cave status, is a rare and magnificent specimen. He has lived among the clan all his life, from egg to hatchling and through his awkward teenage years. The older dragons remark about how different he looked when he was younger. Not only have his looks changed, but when he was younger Cavern loved a lot more freely than he does now. For his mate; lineage and appearance mattered not, and he never considered himself to be anything special. After his mate left to become a wild dragon and he grew older, he gave up on finding another love and changed his criteria for any mates. He refuses to breed with any non cave-born dragon. He insists this is because they are the only dragons worthy of being his mate, but the elders consider it an act of bitterness against his lost mate, the sorrow and loneliness making him too proud and stoic.
