Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aripostle is a gentle dragon and is among the smallest of the Nebula dragon species. She has been known to wander away during the night and return when the sun is nigh. The nebula she has connected with is a very small one and sits just outside the Aquarius constellation by another star group called the Helix Nebula. As it is too far away for even the mightiest of telescopes, Aripostle's coat is the only proof that it exists. The bright blue galaxies that are imprinted on her show that her nebula is full of blue stars. The brightest spots are deemed as supernovas and with the numerous amounts of them it has been deduced that the her nebula is imploding on itself. Although the nebula itself is in critical condition, Aripostle herself is as healthy as can be. The nebula's destruction shows beautifully on her coat and makes her shine with a violent blue haze. All in all, she is the image of a Nebula Dragon and the thing that makes her special is her own mapped nebula.
