Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Ever since luxury became known to mankind, rich women have felt drawn towards pretty, cute or exotic animals to hold as pets. Now, there was once a young lady who thought that a Purple Dragon would make an excellent pet. Her suitors stole the egg, and as soon as they were sure that there was a moderately sized dragon inside, they broke the shell so the lady could welcome her new pet.
The hatchling was much too young and fragile to understand or protest what was going on, and for days it just lay around, barely clinging to life. The yellow tendrils reminded the young lady of lightning, and so she called the hatchling by the old word Levin.
But Levin grew wings, which delighted the young lady, and she also grew up, which worried her. And one fine day Levin found herself an adult dragon, figured that it would not do to be a pet and fled, taking half the house down in her panicked hurry.
