Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Onyxdruil DangerStrike (after the gemstone: Onyx) joined the clan cave as its 128th dragon, a gift from a neighboring clan and their keeper, the Lady 'rfette. Her adoption into the clan was full of question and doubt, for although The Clan Mother had arranged for the transfer with the help of the clan Magi, the event itself was fraught with delays and miscommunication. Thankfully, another nearby clan intervened, and offered assistance to guide the precious gift to its new home. It is believed that as a result of her ordeal, she is fiercely protective of her adoptive clan, and is quick to strike out against any threat, be it real or perceived, with vicious animosity. Members of The Red Claw have come to respect her for this trait, agreeing that sometimes in the face of danger, it is best to strike first, and question later. The clan elders do not always concur, however, since many of her actions create rather uncomfortable relations with others.
