Stratos Dragons resemble sea dragons, but these massive creatures are far too buoyant to swim in the water. Instead, Stratos Dragons use air mana accumulated in their scales to live high up in the skies from the moment they mature enough to leave the ground, only ever returning to the ground in open spaces or very high elevations to lay their eggs. The underside of a Stratos is covered in reflective scales that slowly shift colors throughout the day to mirror the sky and the clouds above, serving as camouflage. Young Stratos consume anything that will fit in their mouths, and are especially drawn to air mana, but adult Stratos are difficult to observe and not much is known about what they eat or where they continue to gain mana. Corpses of grown Stratos dragons have been found with an incredible amount of crystallized light and air mana embedded in their backs, and it is thought that they fly so high up as they would otherwise be a delicacy to many of the more mana-hungry dragon breeds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Nitro doesn't exactly fit in with his siblings, which is kind of a given since they are all very different from one another. He tries his best to fit in with them, but can never really get a grip. He's intimidated by Breeze and Shrimp's competitiveness, can never catch Swimmer before he dives toward the ocean, and Helium and Oxygen are always so close he can't fit between them. So, he tends to be a bit of a loner, though not really by choice. He is generally friendly, not anti-social, that's for sure, but he can get pretty irritable and anxious, especially when he's upset. He can actually be quite the brat when he's salty, cursing the world for his loneliness and blaming others for his misfortunes in life, though he never really means it. He never wishes to actually hurt anyone or get in anyone's way. He just wants some friends to talk to or for his family to truly accept him. As is, Nitrogen is the most solitary Atmoswing, drifting alone and bored and often quietly angry at everyone.
