Water Walkers are small dragons that are frequently found around bogs and ponds. While they are flightless, they retain the flight sacs and hollow bones of their airborne cousins. These traits, coupled with their extraordinarily long, webbed toes, allow them to stand on top of calm waters, using their small sails to propel them wherever they please. They spend the majority of their lives on the water, retreating to the tops of lily pads when the waters become too rough to float atop.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Abandoned as an egg, Nixie was found and cared for by a young, up and coming draconologist. She may seem quiet and shy at first glance, however, she is really quite curious and loving. She often takes in and cares for any hurt animals, no matter how small the injury. She is also known to fuss over her human's many scratches and cuts, constantly bringing them gifts of leaves or sticks to make them feel better. Nixie doesn't necessarily shy away from new people, but she does prefer to stick close to her human counter-part, taking naps on their lap or shoulders. When she isn't sleeping, she can be found puttering around small bodies of water, anything from a pond to a full barrel.

Unlike other dragons of her species, Nixie prefers to spin her tail like a propeller to move around on the water, though she has been known to use her sails when her tail gets tired. Although Nixie is an adult dragon, she often gives off chirps and squeaks as a way of conveying her moods to her human.
