Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Festivion is occasionally viewed as being a bit more serious than one would think of a Christmas dragon as being. However, this isn't really the case-- he's quiet and a thinker, but usually he's subtly plotting ways in which to increase the joy of those around him. He doesn't feel the need to be the center of attention ever, but he does like giving the other dragons a reason to think kindly of him for some small task or surprise that he's done for them. He does occasionally have an impulsive streak, and usually it involves him going far out of his way to do something for another, even if that other might not seem to necessarily deserve the kindness! All the same, it makes him fairly well liked amongst the dragons of the cave.
