Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Ruler of Cheese rules over the other cheese dragons in its Cave. It is slightly larger than its fellow cheese dragons, and was the first cheese dragon to come to the Cave. It smells slightly like mozzarella, but is the color of cheddar. Ruler of Cheese prefers to eat cheese, and writes poems about the wonders of cheese. His most famous poem is entitled, "Cheesiness." Other dragons try to eat Ruler of Cheese. One of the hatchlings nibbled on his tail while he slept, so he is careful to hide from them at night.
