Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

PgymyPumpkin is a bold little Pygmy Dragon. He is not actually a hatchling, he had a birth defect that trapped him in the body of a hatchling forever. He is an adult who never got the growth hormones to mature and grow wings. So PgymyPumpkin spends all of his time drinking alcohol and stumbling around. Sometimes he throws up. All of his friends are other drunkards, and they often have slow and loud conversations with one another. All of the dragons in his cave just ignore PgymyPumpkin and his sad group of friends.
