Imperial Fleshcrownes are an active and playful breed. They are equally good at flying and climbing and while they are not good swimmers, they love to take an occasional dip. Fleshcrownes live in large social groups called “communities.” Adult Fleshcrownes share the responsibility of looking after the young, who are very playful and active. Even after maturing, they retain their curious and mischievous natures, often getting into trouble. The fleshy crowns on their head can be raised at will, and are usually erect when happy, excited, or scared. Fleshcrownes—being a very peaceful breed—are more prone to flight than fight. If threatened, they can raise their crowns while hissing in an attempt to scare off predators.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Helpful, kind, and gentle at heart, Shinforuh is one of the friendliest dragons of his clan. His mind always seems to be shrouded in pacifistic thoughts, and a warm aura seems to surround him. While being very outgoing and affable, Shinforuh is also a rather spiritual dragon. He has a great passion for the supernatural and is constantly talking about the strong possibility of something larger than life watching over the creatures of Earth. According to many encounters with Shinforuh, other dragons have claimed that he has some sort of connection to what may be a group of spirits. Shinforuh believes that these spirits are benign and wise beings. It is apparent that such essences have granted him strange abilities, such as "tracking" out the future, which he demonstrates by relying on the environment to send him certain signals so he can "read" forthcoming events. He loves taking care of others, both physically and mentally.
