Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Behold, seeker of the dragon lore, Olwen of the Terrae dragons. It is unknown where she originally came from, but the humans living near her forest believed her to be a creature of the Goddess of springtime and flowers, thus giving her her very name. In her first mating season she chose one of the least likely mates imaginable (but possibly one of the few available)—a Hellfire Wyvern. The egg she laid was of the father's race which possibly is why she abandoned it, even leaving the area for good. For a while she wandered through many forests in search of a more suitable mate and others of her kind to live with. Her search was not futile in the end.

She now is the mate of another Terrae dragon known as Nillemis.
