Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very light and enjoys bouncing all around.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Fluffy Air was always the first dragon to try something daring, as he always thought that since he is unable to grow up, that he could make himself noticeable to everyone by doing something both spectacular and really, really stupid, and still manage to pull it off with all his limbs attached. Fluffy Air usually practices holding his breath by floating up until there is very little oxygen, then deflate quickly and fall back down. Most of the time he manages to catch himself before he splats onto the floor, but the very few times he did fall was onto another dragon.
