Failed attempts to experiment with magic often result in transforming dragons into these hellish creatures. They are extremely dangerous, and will mindlessly kill any living creature without regard to friend or foe.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Once a revered Guardian of Nature, this creature deformed into this shape after a horribly windy night with not a single cloud in the night sky. The last time other dragons in her cluster had seen her was just before she left to check the source of this seemingly "evil-natured" wind. When she returned to her cluster she was already in this form and she was no longer responsive. Rumors quickly spread. Most of them said that this divine creature's soul was gone with the wind that night and all that is left from her was a shell. Currently, the Avatars she has given birth to are in search of her soul—or whatever that was lost to her on that windy night.
