Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Being as he was born and raised alongside no other Hellfire Wyverns, Phosuro developed a very calm and friendly personality. He prefers a good nap to playing with his adopted siblings, and he's not the greatest in social situations, but he knows how to show that he cares and will gladly cuddle up with anyone who needs a hug. Though he's very friendly to his family, Phosuro is often the first to jump in if someone or something threatens them, flaring up his wings and arching his back to give him a more menacing appearance, despite the fact that he's just a huggable little muffin on the inside. Phosuro has heard plenty of the stories of his species being ruthless and vicious towards just about everything, and strives to prove that this stereotype is just that—a stereotype—by raising a female hatchling of his own species to be just as lovable as him.
