Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Despite being so important and rare, Matt's Hat's name was simply a joke by his silly master. His master has a close friend named Matt who possessed a hat cooler than any other hat in the world! No kidding. When she came across this shining egg in the cave and took it home to take under her wing, she jokingly thought to herself, "This dragon is almost as amazing as Matt's hat!" Thus this beautiful dragon was given the name "Matt's Hat". Matt's Hat is quite regal and quiet and rests in the forest for most of the day.
